Michael F. Mokray, 37 years of Jacksonville, Florida, died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Leesburg Regional Hospital in Leesburg, Florida.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 15, 1971 the son of Frederick and Tamara Carroll Mokray of Hillsboro, Ohio.
Michael graduated from Bethel Township High School, received his under graduate degree from the University of New Orleans in 1995, and received his Masters Degree from Florida State University in Urban & Regional Planning in 1999.
Michael was an Urban Planner for the City of Jacksonville, Florida.
Beside his parents he is survived by his wife Jennifer Sargent Mokray. One daughter Sydney Mokray of Jacksonville, FL. Father-in-law & mother-in-law Jack & Dorothy "Po" Sargent of Tipp City, OH. One sister Paula Sean Conway of Slidell, LA. One nephew Tyghe Conway of Baton Rouge, LA. Two nieces Erin Conway of Slidell, LA, and Jade Ryan Martinez of Ft. Meade, MD. One great niece Arielle Martinez of Ft. Meade, MD.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 5:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ohio with Rev. Maurice Mitchell officiating.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Michael F. Mokray Family Assistance Fund, C/O any Bank of America Branch. The family appreciates Ryan and Lori Hart for establishing this fund in Michael's Memory for the future care and education of Sydney.
