Michael G. Wharton

Michael G. Wharton, 72 years of New Vienna, passed away on Monday December 12, 2022.

He was born in Hillsboro on October 29, 1950, the son of the late W. G."Mike" and Mary (Wood) Wharton. Besides his parents, he is also preceded by his brother Bill Wharton and sister, Margaret Foster.

Michael was a 1968 graduate from East Clinton High School, was a member of the Auburn Community Christian Church, a member of the NRA and was a big Buckeye Fan.

Michael is survived by his wife, Carol (Shaffer) Wharton, sons, Clint (Katie) Wharton of Hillsboro and Jeff Wharton of New Vienna, grandchildren, Ashley and Paul Jenkins, Regan and Danielle Wharton, great grandchild, Jaxson Schablin, sisters, Nancy Skidmore of Hillsboro and Jean McKenzie of Hillsboro, sister-in-law, Ann Wharton of Bellbrook, brother-in-law, Nick Foster and beloved nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be 12:00 PM Saturday December 17, 2022 at the Thompson Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of services on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
