Mildred M. Elrod, 99 years of Winchester, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2008 at her residence.
She was born in Decatur, Ohio on June 3, 1909 the daughter of the late Gilbert T. and Sarah F. Adamson Gash.
Mildred attended the Decatur United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Elrod, who passed away in 1962, four brothers, Clarence, James, Pete, and Earl Gash, and two sisters, Geneva Stanfield and Beatrice Hemminger.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Larry and Kathy Elrod of Winchester, granddaughter Christi Jay Fry of Falmouth, Kentucky, and great granddaughter Taylor Marie Fry.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester with Dan Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
Memorials may be made to the family.
