Mildred A. Tener, 92 years of Locust Grove Community, died Thursday, November 7, 2002 at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on August 1, 1910 the daughter of the late Edgar and Elizabeth Newman Lawrence
Mildred was a member of the Conaway Chapel United Methodist Church and theUMW.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Russell Tener, who passed away on December 13, 1985, daughter Juanita Tener, sister Melva Cobler, two brothers Edgar and Charles E. Lawrence.
She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-laws, Glenna and Charles Lindsey of Greenfield, Willa Jean and Claude Coulter of Washington C.H., Martha and Eugene Herdman of Peebles, Elizabeth and Bob Fulton of Hillsboro; five grandchildren Deborah Ed Williams of South Solon, Brenda Dan Ervin of Washington C.H., Russell Debra Lindsey of Washington C.H., Connie Ned Lewis of Hillsboro, Donna Herdman of South Charleston, four great grandchildren Kathy Jo Irvin, Elise Williams, Jay and Candis Lindsey, one sister Bonnie Smith of Columbus, Ohio, one brother Norman Lawrence of Indiana.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Phil Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
