Minnie Williams, 92 years of Marble Furnace Community in Peebles, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at her residence.
She was born in Mingo County, West Virginia on July 3, 1916 the daughter of the late William and Dixie Davis Browning.
Minnie was a longtime member of the Wesleyan Tabernacle Church in Locust Grove.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Williams, who passed away on May 25, 1999, four brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by eight sons and daughters-in-law; Roger, Richard and Christie, Terry and Sharon, Kenny and Sherry, Greg, Jeff, Tim and Karen, and Rocky Williams all of Peebles, daughter and son-in-law Vicki and John Stroup of Peebles, seventeen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wesleyan Tabernacle Church in Locust Grove with Carl Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wesleyan Tabernacle Church; the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.
