Miriam Raines, 82 years of Seaman, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Eagle Creek Nursing Home.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on May 23, 1929 the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Mckinzie Smittle.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John F. Raines who passed away in 1994 and her brother Joseph Young.
Miriam attended Seaman Community Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law; Larry and Jackie Raines of Greer, South Carolina and Rick Raines of Seaman, one sister and brother-in-law; Jo Ann and Frank Young of West Union, two grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Homes, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Leigh Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Homes, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
Memorials may be made to Seaman Community Methodist Church.
