Mitchell L. Franklin, 51 years of Hillsboro, died Friday, November 18, 2011 at Carlton Manor in Washington C.H.
Mitch was born September 11, 1960 at Wilmington, OH., the son of John E and Judith Smith Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his father John E. Franklin on July 7, 1991; grandparents, Norman and Phyllis Smith, Ed and Hazel Franklin; uncle, Steve Smith.
He is survived by his mother Judy Franklin of Hillsboro; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Brad Elmore of Hillsboro; two nieces, Jordan and Ellie Elmore; one nephew, Brandon Elmore; one uncle, Bruce Linda Smith of Hillsboro, Cousins, Linda SteveGenteline, Doug & Merikay Franklin, David Carolyn Larrick, Gary k. Smith, Pattie Jenkins.
Mitch was a member of the Hillsboro St. Mary's Episcopal Church, attended Hillsboro High School, was active with the FFA, loved his work and time spent at the Union Stockyards and was an avid OSU Buckeye Fan.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with The Rev. Stephen Cuff officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Episcopal Church Memorial Garden, 234 North High Street, Hillsboro, OH. 45133.
