Mora M. Wise, 98 years of Centerville, OH. formerly of Hillsboro, died Friday, February 12, 2010 in Centerville.
Mora was born November 7, 1911 in Marshall, OH., the daughter of the late Dr. Samuel Mora and BrylParks Mason.
Mora was a graduate of Marshall High School and attended Miami University for two years receiving her teaching certificate. Mora taught 1st grade 4 years in the Hillsboro City School, long enough to receive her lifetime teaching certificate. On June 16, 1936 she was united in marriage to Spencer L. Wise who served as President of the Farmers & Traders Bank in Hillsboro, later becoming US Bank. Mora and Spencer celebrated 50 years of marriage, with Spencer preceding Mora in death on October 26, 1986. Mora was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Spencer L. and Marcia Wise of Statesboro, GA., one daughter, Janet Swygert of Centerville, OH., five grandchildren, Steve Holloman of Centerville, OH., Kathy Holloman of Centerville, OH., Dave Shan Holloman of Glenview, IL., Karen Wise Ray Parrish of Oakridge, N.C., Scott Carrina Wise of Austin, TX., five great grandchildren, Kacey Lynn Holloman, Evan Spencer Holloman, Samantha Wise, Jackson Parrish, Katie Lee Parrish.
Funeral services will be held at the Convenience of the Family with burial in the Prospect Cemetery.
Family requests memorials to the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, 133 E. Walnut Street, Hillsboro, OH. 45133.
