Morene Maddox

Morene Porter Maddox, age 90 of Winchester, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Crestwood Nursing Home.

She was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on May 20, 1924 the daughter of the late Orville and Clare Belle (Bradley) Porter.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Maddox, who passed away on August 27, 1998; one daughter, Brenda C. Maddox; and one brother, Jerry Porter.

Morene attended Winchester United Methodist Church and was a member of the Winchester Fire Department Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son, Darrell and Rae Jean Maddox of Seaman; one daughter, Patti and Marvin Gesslin of Winchester; one brother, Donald Porter of Little Rock, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Winchester United Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Roberts and Rev. John Waugh officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
