Morris James Newton

Morris James "Moe" Newton, 64 years of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at his residence.

He was born at Cincinnati, on April 1, 1947 the son of the late Alfred and Verna Fey Newton. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one grandchild Sophia.

Moe retired from the U.S. Army serving during the Viet-Nam Era; was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, Hillsboro; AMVETS Post # 61 Hillsboro; VFW Post #9094 Hillsboro; F.O.E. Aerie #1161 Hillsboro.

He is survived by one son, Austin Newton of Hillsboro; two daughters and son in law, Davina and Kyle Cooper of West Union, Jenna Newton of Hillsboro; three brothers and sister in laws, Elm and Margaret Newton of Hillsboro, Tom and Denise Newton of Cincinnati; Tim and Chris Newton of Cincinnati; four sisters and brother in laws, Betty Ann Tann of Batavia; Patricia and Ike Boehm of Cincinnati; Marian and Mike Royal of Elmwood Place, Barb Rapien of Cincinnati, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, March 19, 2012 at the St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Mike Paraniuk officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 till 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church.
