Myrtle Gaffin, 84 years of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008 at her residence.
She was born in West Union, Ohio on January 18, 1924 the daughter of the late Burgess and Mary Riddle Johnson.
Myrtle was a longtime member of the Sabina Baptist Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Gaffin, Sr. and one son, Richard Gaffin.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Janet Gaffin of Dayton and Ronald and Helen Gaffin of Peebles, daughter Kay Perry of Wilmington, fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Union Hill Church with Phil Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the Union Hill Church; the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.
