Myrtle Houchen

Myrtle Houchen, age 83 of Peebles, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Adams County, Ohio on December 31, 1930 the daughter of the late Harley and Mary (Davis) Young.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Houchen, who passed away May 10, 2014.

Myrtle attended Pilgrim Holiness Church.

She is survived by one son, Bill Houchen of Peebles; four brothers, Ronnie Young of West Union, Bob Young of Seaman, David Young of Dayton, and John Young of Dayton; four sisters, Mae Stone of Peebles, Elma Honaker of Virginia, Wanda Acres of Indiana, and Wilma Pennywitt of West Union; one grandson, Billy and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at the Pilgrim Holiness Church with Wayne Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Jacktown Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. till 12:00 P.M. at the church.

Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.
