Nancy Ann Lewis, 80 years old, passed peacefully surrounded by loving family on May 25, 2020 in Sinking Spring, Ohio. Nancy was born March 18, 1940 to James and Evelyn Lewis in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. She graduated in 1958 from Kettering Fairmount High School in Dayton, Ohio excelling in Field Hockey and Bowling. Nancy enlisted in the Untied States Air Force, serving four years, then settled in Panama City, Florida. She lived most of her life in Panama City but returned to Ohio to reside with her sister after being displaced by the effects of Hurricane Michael in 2018.
Nancy loved life, family, friends and her loyal pet dogs Corky and Booger! She lived life to the fullest and took that same enthusiasm into her workplace making lifelong friends with coworkers and customers. She worked in Syracuse, New York at Bristol Myers Pharmaceuticals, enjoyed her position as an Office Manage at a Panama City pet hospital and was the Housekeeping Manager at a Beach-side Hotel owned by a dear friend. Nancy was an avid Volksmarcher (a form of non-competitive fitness walking), enjoyed several trips to Ireland with her sister Carol, was passionate about genealogy and played a mean game of Dominoes. She was a wonderful hostess to family as they vacationed in Florida and always made certain it was an adventurous experience for all.
Nancy is survived by her sisters Carol (Dwain) Gorby of Sinking Spring, Ohio and Sharon Lewis of Kissimmee, Florida. She loved and was loved by her six Nieces and Nephews, twelve Great-Nieces and Nephews and two Great-Great Nephews.
Her passion for life is evidenced by the number of caring family and friends that are remembering and honoring her at this time. Nancy's family thanks you for your shared memories and expression of sympathy.
An intimate "Celebration of Life" has been reserved for family and close friends at a later date.
