Naomi Shoemaker, 93 years of the Sinking Spring Community, died Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Adams County Regional Hospital in Seaman.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on April 6, 1915 the daughter of the late George Mahlon and Mary Elizabeth Robinson Ryan.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edwin William "Jake" Shoemaker on March 6, 2000. Four brothers Herman, Paul, Lester, Frank. Two sisters Hortense Seaman and Opal Matlack.
Naomi was a member of the Grave Brethren Church in Sinking Spring, Ohio.
She is survived by one son & daughter-in-law Phillip & Ann Shoemaker of Sinking Spring, OH. One daughter & son-in-law Paula & Robert Wilson of Springboro, OH. One brother Mark Ryan of Peebles, OH. Six grandchildren Gayle Robert Tolle of Knoxville, TN, Debbie Wilson of Springboro, OH, Bobby Tracy Wilson of Springboro, OH, Danny Cheryl Wilson of Springboro, OH, Phyllis Bret Unger of Peebles, OH, and Teresa Jason Shriver of Peebles, OH. Eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grace Bible Church; 15 Washington, Sinking Spring, Ohio with Rev. Bill Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Grace Bible Church.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Boulevard, Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154.
The Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
