Nettie Elizabeth Day, 88 years of Seaman, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at the Batavia Convalescent and Nursing Center.
She was born in Floyd County, Virginia on September 12, 1912 the daughter of the late Walter and Tidde Martin Webb.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Day on March 11, 1991, son, Glenn E. Day on April 26, 1998, and two brothers, Edgar and Jimmy Webb.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Gene Michael of Seaman, daughter-in-law, Brenda Day Pitzer of Seaman, sister, Gertrude Davis of Seaman, sister-in-law, Grace Webb of Virginia, four grandsons, David Melissa Michael, Scott Lisa Michael, Eddie Janice Day, John Tina Day, all of Seaman, and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman with Homer Holsted officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Leigh Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
