Nina Evelyn Miller Garvey, 83 years of Winchester, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the Salyer Adult Group Home near Hillsboro.
She was born in Marshall, Ohio on December 22, 1924 the daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth Henry Miller.
She graduated from Marshall High School in 1941 and attended Wilmington College.
On January 16, 1953 she married William Garvey of Mowrystown. They were engaged in farming for many years. Her husband died in August, 2007. She was a member of the Sugartree Ridge Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by two nephews, Charles William Flaig and Thomas Darbyshire Miller.
She is survived by a sister, Cinderella Abell of Oxford, Ohio, and brother, Lewis Chet Miller of Bainbridge. Raymond Barnes made his home with them for several years. She will be sadly missed by one niece, Mary Abell, and seven nephews, Michael and Robert Flaig, David and William Miller, and Roger, James and John Abell.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Drue Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
