Noah Purtee, 82 years of Peebles, died Sunday, November 27, 2005.
He was born November 6, 1923, at Seaman, Ohio, the son of the late James and Isabelle Brooks Purtee.
Noah retired from the Jerguson Construction Company, where he was an equipment operator. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II., member of the Peebles Masonic Lodge #396 and Ohio Operating Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Eubanks Purtee; one son, Roger Purtee of Peebles; three daughters & sons-in-law, Linda & Gary Fitzpatrick of Flordia, Brenda & David Wheeler of Seaman, Carma & Frank Bays of Peebles, two brothers Pete Linda Purtee of Frazersburg, Carl Lee Carol Purtee of Milford four sisters, Kathleen Wade of Springfield, Imogene Brown of Columbus, Helen Harley Wamsley of Kentucky, Patty James Unger of Seaman, eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Private at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles on Tuesday with Dave Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the Adams County Honor Guard.
