A much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Norma Jean Fields, 69 of Peebles, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman, Ohio May 20, 2013 with her family present. She had bravely confronted cancer. She was born December 14, 1943 in Pike County, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Earl Ray Fields, Sr. of Peebles; son Earl Ray Jr. of Peebles; granddaughter Julie and husband David Oney of New Vienna; great-grandsons Julian Oney and Braxton Oney of New Vienna; brothers Orley Hougland and wife Bonnie of Peebles; John Hougland and wife Joetta of Peebles; sisters Margaret and husband Robert Seeling of Hillsboro, Helen and husband Dennis Tolle of Waverly, Rosalee Helterbran of Peebles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Gladys Hougland and sister, Mary Alice Wolford.
The family will receive friends at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles, Ohio on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the White Oak Cemetery located in Pike County.
