Norma Jean Swayne

Norma Jean Swayne, 77 years of Peebles, died Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.

She was born in Scioto County, Ohio on December 1, 1925 the daughter of the late Autumn and Belva Gilliand Scott.

She was a member of the Union Hill Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She was a Veteran Residential Home Caregiver for thirty-five years.

Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Swayne, who passed away on January 8, 1999.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry Joe and Tonya Swayne of Peebles, two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Rick Gaffin of Dayton, Helen and Ronald Gaffin of Washington Court House, four grandchildren, Carma, Rickey, Stacy, and Billy, three great grandchildren, Autumn, Boo, and Tessa, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Union Hill Church with Roy Willis, Phil Fulton, and Carey Hilterbran officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call on Saturday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Union Hill Church.

Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of arrangements.
