Norma R. Wilkin, 89 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, October 29, 2015.
Norma was born September 14, 1926 in Clay Township, Highland County, OH., the daughter of the late William C. and Myrtle Elizabeth (Gallaigher) Louderback. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Harvey Fields and her second husband, George D. Wilkin; one son, Terry Fields; two sisters, Bernita Melblaine and Dorothy Jacobs; two half brothers, David D. and Earl Frye.
Norma was a member of the Northside Church of Christ. She waitress at the Double D Restaurant for several years, a LPN at Oakland Nursing Center and the Highland District Hospital for 15 years.
Norma is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jack Sams of Hillsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kathy Fields of Hillsboro; fourteen grandchildren, Robert (Sheila) Sams, Sr., Michael W. Sams, Jacqueline (Jay) Post, Brandy (Frank) Laws, Jamie Fields, Peter (Lynsee) Fields, Mandy Fields, Terri Fields, Joseph Fields, Clayton Fields, Dallas (Hannah) Fields, Sheila (Steve) Vance, Missy (Trevor) Vance, Jeff (Lisa) Vance; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Smith of Hillsboro; Daughter-in-law, Connie Fields-Knight (Greg Knight) several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M. Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Bill Pierce will officiate with burial to follow in the Buford Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
