Norman Donovan "Don" Wise, 91 years of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022.
Don was October 10, 1930, in Columbus, OH., the son of the late John Norman "Bud" and Helen Gladys (Barnhiser) Wise. Beside his parents, Don was preceded by his 2nd wife, Madge L. (Woods) Wise on February 27, 1996, and his 3td wife, Carol Ann (Travis) Wise on February 28, 2020; one son, David Norman Wise.
Don was a 1949 graduate of Hillsboro High School and attended Ohio Wesleyan College for two years. Don served his Country for 10 years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After his service to our Country, Don was an employee of the State of Ohio Auditor's Office where he retired in 1991.
Don was very active in the Masonic Order where he was the Past Master of Highland Lodge #38 F.&A.M., Past High Priest Hillsboro Chapter #40 R.A.M.; Illustrious Master Hillsboro Council #16 R.&S.M., Past Commander Highland #31 Commandery, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, Hillsboro Chapter #441 O.E.S.; Don received by invitation only from the Masonic Order the Knight York Cross of Honor, Honorary Allied Masonic Degree, Council Knight Masons and the York Rite College.
Military Rites will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Eastern Star, Masonic and Scottish Rite Services will follow the Military Service Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5:00pm to 6:00pm Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Internment of cremains will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Troutwine Cemetery.
