Olive Pearl Walker, 82 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, September 21, 2006 at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born in New Vienna, Ohio on March 27, 1924 the daughter of the late John and Bertha Smith Rhoades.
She retired from Robertshaw Controls after twenty-seven years, and from the Washington Elementary after ten years of service.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Maxwell, one great granddaughter, Tory Bell, two brothers, Wayne and Cecil Rhoades, and three sisters, Velma Miller, Mary Williamson, and Gladys Poe.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Sharon Bell of Hillsboro, June and Kelly Shelton of Chillicothe, Joyce Brodess of Hillsboro, seven grandchildren, Tim Donna Bell of Hillsboro, Tammy Frank Kanyuck of Cincinnati, Renee Maxwell of Seaman, Lofty Diana Maxwell of Seaman, Danielle Shelton of Tampa, Florida, Stephanie Greg Jones of Lexington, Kentucky, Jason Brodess of Hillsboro, two step grandsons, Chad Amanda Shelton of Hillsboro, Kelly Shelton of Tampa, Florida, ten great grandchildren, Ashton Bell, Garrett Bell, Kaylynn Bell, Payton Bell, Mackenzie Hartley, Megan Hartley, Brooke Kanyuck, Dirk Maxwell, Bethany Maxwell, Brianna Jones, two step great grandchildren, Ashley Crank and Tyler Crank, and sisters, Mae Donahue of Cincinnati, and Faye Reeder of Wilmington.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 till 5:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
