Opal Maude Blair, 83 years of the Elmville Community, died Thursday, August 24, 2006 at her residence.
She was born in Winchester, Ohio on July 19, 1923 the daughter of the late Raymond and Laura Roush Foster.
She was a member of the Elmville Church of Christ in Christian Union. She was an employee of Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring for several years.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Oren Blair, Jr., who passed away on March 6, 1998, three sons, Richard and Bob Snodgrass, Larry Dean Blair, one daughter, Pat McElveen, great granddaughter, Ashley, three brothers, Wayne, Jim, and Denver Foster, and two sisters, Betty Riber and Mildred Henson.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie Snodgrass of Hillsboro, Mildred and Mike Collett of Xenia, Cathy and Roger Deardoff, Jr. of Peebles, brothers, Earl Foster of Springfield, Ohio, Harold Foster of Springfield, Ohio, grandchildren, Mike Purdin of Manchester, Ohio, Kellie Mason of Seaman, Greg Snodgrass of Peebles, Debbie Streeter of Gilroy, California, Mike Collett, Jr. of Xenia, Jason Collett of Xenia, Aaron Snodgrass of Hillsboro, Tracey O'Cull of Hillsboro, Jonathan Deardoff of Peebles, Shawn Deardoff, Raymond Deardoff, Larry Blair, and Tracie Deardoff, several great grandchildren, and special friend, Charlie Shumaker of Sardinia.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
