Opal Myers, 85 years of Blue Creek, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on October 6, 1922 the daughter of the late John and Maude Cadwallader Setty.
Opal was a longtime member of the Antioch Christian Baptist Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Myers, who passed away on January 11, 1991.
She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Junior and Shirley Myers of West Union, Leonard and Francis Myers of Tipp City, Frank and Barbara Myers of Peebles, Benny Myers of Blue Creek, and Burton and Dianna Myers of Peebles, six daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma and Carvel Litteral of Salyersville, Kentucky, Linda and Ralph Johnson of Peebles, Carolyn and Larry Garrett of Blue Creek, Sylvia Scaff of Blue Creek, Patty Matheny of Peebles, and Sharon and Charles Gardner of Peebles, two brothers, Esto Setty of Peebles and Berlin Setty of West Union, forty grandchildren, several great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and several step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Antioch Christian Baptist Church on State Route 781 outside Peebles, Ohio with Jimmy Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Antioch Christian Baptist Church; the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of arrangements
