Opal V. Pelfrey

September 15, 1913 — October 31, 2001

Opal V. Pelfrey, 88 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at the Kettering Medical Center in Dayton.

She was born in Albright, West Virginia on September 15, 1913 the daughter of the late Foster and Della Bishop Bolinger.

She attended the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church.

Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Frank Pelfrey, who passed away on March 14, 1978, son, Donald Pelfrey, two stepsons, Warren Pelfrey and Jack Pelfrey, brother, William Bolinger, and sister, Blanche Miller.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie and Ruth Pelfrey of Germantown, Ohio, Dale Pelfrey of Springboro, Barry and Ruth Ann Pelfrey of Hamilton, daughter and son-in-law, Norma and William Shacklock of New Springfield, Ohio, step daughter, Faye Bill Fannin of Ashland, Kentucky, two daughter-in-laws, Judy Pelfrey of Huber Heights, Janet Pelfrey of Hillsboro, twenty grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Jim Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 till 6:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
