Oren Spurgeon, 84 years of Peebles, died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at the Adams County Hospital ER.
He was born at Sabina, Ohio on October 14, 1922 the son of the late Clyde and Mae Miley Spurgeon.
He was a member of the Seaman Church of Christ, Army Air Corp Veteran serving in WWII, American Legion Post #633 Charles H. Eyre Seaman.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Loretta Carol Mefford Spurgeon on April 19, 2002.
He is survived by his son Kevin Spurgeon of Peebles, daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Larry Brown of Peebles, granddaughters, Kayla Brown and Valerie Hanes, and his sister Ruth Pitzer of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 9, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Chris Gobin
Officiating. Burial will follow in the Tranquility Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. till time of service at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home/
