Orville Reffitt, 62 years of Hillsboro, died Monday, June 17, 2002 at the Fairfield Mercy Hospital.
He was born in Highland County, Ohio on July 24, 1939 the son of the late Ott and Bethel Lee Willoughby Reffitt, Sr.
He was a United States Marine veteran of the Cuban Missile Crisis and Viet-Nam Era. He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, the Hillsboro Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1161, the Hillsboro Elks #361, and the V.F.W. Post #9094. He was a local business owner for over twenty years and served in law enforcement in Highland County for fifteen years. He worked at JMI Reports Inc. for some thirty years.
He is survived by his wife, Violanda Vickie Ruggiero Reffitt, who he married on February 14, 1959, children, Sandy Pacurari of Sebring Florida, Randy Reffitt of Hillsboro, Terri Denise Herman of Cincinnati, brother, Walter Reffitt of Hillsboro, grandchildren, Sandy Bear Reffitt, Angie Rice, Tyler Pacurari, Kristina Herman, Bradley Reffitt, Nicholas Pacurari, sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde, Clifford, Bill, Ott, Jr., and one sister, Margie Tucker.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
