Oscar Sherwood Hoop

Oscar Sherwood Hoop, 95 years of Seaman, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Ohio Valley Manor.
He was born in Tiffin Township, Ohio on December 8, 1915 the son of the late Clifford and Alta Seaman Hoop.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nellie Hoop, who passed away on February 8, 2002, one son; Eddie Hoop, one grandson, and one great grandson.
Oscar attended the Seaman United Methodist Church, was a school bus driver for North Adams Schools, and a janitor for Oliver School.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Ray and Linda Hoop of Columbus, two daughters and sons-in-law; Ruth and Richard Young of Seaman and Mary and Norman Woods of Cincinnati, one daughter-in-law; Valerie Lloyd of Seaman, eleven grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 till 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
Memorials may be made to Ohio Valley Manor-Activities Center, Hospice of Hope 215 Hughes Blvd. Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154, or Seaman United Methodist Church.
