Oswald Johnson, 101 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday June 18, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Red Bush, KY on January 10, 1915, the son of the late Charles and Clara (Coldiron) Johnson. Besides his parents, he was also preceded by two sons, Steven and Philip Johnson three brothers, William, Kenneth and Charles Johnson and two sisters, Carolyn Graham and Genevieve Ludwick.
Oswald was a member of the Hillsboro 1st United Methodist Church, the Hillsboro Lions Club and retired from the Nationwide Insurance Company.
Oswald is survived by his wife, Betty (Broyles) Johnson, whom were married on October 16, 1943, son, Doug Johnson, daughter-in-law, Nancy Johnson, two brothers, James and Roger Johnson, two sisters, Catherine Bandura and Frances Hinshaw, two grandchildren, Adam (Colleen) Johnson and Joshua (Jeanette) Johnson, two great grandchildren, Lexis Johnson and Johnathan (Marissa) Johnston.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday June 23, 2016 at the Hillsboro 1st United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Thursday at the church.
