Obituary - Carl Patrick Ventrone
Carl Patrick Ventrone, 77 of Hillsboro, passed away early Sunday morning, April 10, 2016, after a long illness, at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born June 9, 1938 in Braddock (Pittsburgh), PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Collette Ventrone.
He is survived by his friend, partner, and love of his life, Susan Bellas; one son, Sebastian (Cassandra) Ventrone, Burlington, VT; one daughter, Andrea (Wayne) Kuvaja, Bridgton, ME; one sister, Deborah (Joseph) O'Laughlin, Grosse Pointe, MI; four grandchildren, Sebastian II, Austin, David and Michelle; and two nephews, Matthew and Ryan.
Patrick was a true Renaissance (Universal) Man. In his continuous quest for knowledge he was an educator, librarian, and philosopher, maker of fine furniture, tinkerer, problem solver and romantic. His mottos included "form follows function" and "simplify and focus". His logical and analytical side was tempered by his compassion and love for his dogs.
There will be no visitation. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a future date.
Memorials may be made to the Highland County Humane Society Animal Shelter.
