Paul E. Barnes, 79 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, October 28, 2004 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
He was born in Highland County, Ohio on July 27, 1925 the son of the late Robert and Lillian Stewart Barnes.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ. He served as Liberty Township Trustee. He was a parts manager and clerk for Burch Tractor and Implement and retired from Suiter Sales and Service.
He was united in marriage on September 4, 1948 to Mary Frances Vance Barnes, who preceded him in death on October 23, 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lillian Barnes, son-in-law, Danny Davis, two sisters, Hilda Jacobs, Betty Moon, and one brother, Robert Barnes.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Judy Barnes of Hillsboro, daughter, Sharon Davis of Hillsboro, three grandchildren, Brian Davis of Dayton, Ohio, Michelle Dale Liming of Pricetown, Chad Tiffany Goss Barnes of Hillsboro, three great grandchildren, Devin and Drew Liming, and Zane Goss, and special friend to Paul and his family, Anna Kistler of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 1, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with John Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 till 5:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
