Paul Blackburn, age 84 of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on July 24, 1929 the son of the late Carl and Minnie Taylor Blackburn.
Paul attended Urbancrest Baptist Church, was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era, a member of the YMCA, and a Peebles High School graduate of 1947.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Fields Blackburn of Lebanon, whom he married on August 24, 1952; one son, Steve Blackburn of Milford; one daughter, Teresa Winkler of Lebanon; one brother, Roy Blackburn of Dayton; two grandchildren, Chris Teresa Winkler and Jon Winkler; six great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Catherine Plummer of Peebles, Betty Leach of Seaman, and Jean Blackburn of Kettering; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Steve Zinser officiating; military rites will be given by the Adams County Honor Guard. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
