Paul A. Davidson, 84 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, May 3, 2001 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
He was born in Highland County, Ohio on March 22, 1917 the son of the late Alexander A. and Anna Sylvester Davidson.
He was a member of the New Market Baptist Church. He was well known for raising registered black and tan coon hounds and won many contests. He was a lifelong farmer, being one of the first to no till crops, and a representative for the Dekalb Seed Company. He was in the first graduating class of the original Hillsboro High School in 1936.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Grace Davidson.
He is survived by his wife who he married in 1945, Mary Evans Davidson of Hillsboro, two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Gary Harris of Hillsboro, Paulette and Larry Martin of Hillsboro, five grandchildren, Lori Newman, Katie Martin, Paul Martin, Bobby Martin, Sabrina Mercer and fiancé Brian Ball, all of Hillsboro, four great grandchildren, Amie Griffith, Ashley Jenkins, Taylor Ball, Galatea Martin, and brother and sister-in-law, Benson and Fern Davidson of Georgetown, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. John Petrie officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
