Paul Horner

Paul "Jack" Horner, 100 years of Peebles, passed away Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Ohio Veterans Home.

He was born in Adams County, Ohio on May 15, 1908 the son of the late James and Nettie Yankie Horner.

Jack was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the D.A.V.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Andre, who passed away in 1945, his second wife, Marcella Weaver Horner, who passed away in 1977, two brothers, four sisters, one grandson, Chris McFarland, and one step daughter, Betty Horner Gibson.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Larry McFarland of Peebles, two brothers, Wayne Bud Horner of Florida and Dale Diane Horner of Maysville, one grandson, Steve Susie McFarland, four great grandchildren, Tyler, Katie, Annie, and Sarah, and four step grandchildren, Amber, Wayne, Amy, and Greg.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Phil Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 till 3:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring; The Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.
