Paul Sams, 92 years of Hillsboro, died Friday, November 8, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital.
He was born at Seaman, Ohio on April 29, 1910 the son of Artie and Melva Bumgartner Sams.
He was a former Elder of the Buford Church of Christ and a current member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and was a retired farmer from the Buford area.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife Norma Young Sams whom he married on October 3, 1936,
Three sons and daughters-in-law, Danny Sams of Norwood, Ohio, Rev. T. Ronald and Barbara Sams of Columbus, Ohio, Rev. J. Donald and Nancy Sams of Middletown, Ohio,
Two daughters and sons-in-law, Lavaun Everett Roush of Lake Village, Arkansas, Linda Lou and Bill Ferguson of Hillsboro, Ohio, one sister, Edith Faye Thatcher of Mt. Orab, Ohio one sister-in-law, Genevieve Redd of Marion, Ohio, eleven grandchildren, David Renee Sams, Beth Ann Rick Brown, Jana Kay Rev. Todd Marrah, Skip Sams,
Melinda Sid Hardgrow, Rev. Mark Sams, Cheri Sams, Attorney Jonathan Julia Sams,
Dr. Rev. Stephen Lisa Sams, Rinda Ferguson, Joseph Roush, eighteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with David Stokes and John Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Buford Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
