Philip W. Thompson, 90 years of Hillsboro, died Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Pleasant Hill Manor Nursing Home at Piketon, Ohio
He was born at Winchester, Ohio on March 11, 1920 the son of the late Clarence and Florence Troutman Thompson. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife
Juanita I. Reed Thompson on January 26, 2000, three sisters Marie Howland, Helen McLaughlin and Jerry Gregory.
He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, Highland County Coon Hunters Association, a WWII Veteran serving in in the US Air Force and a Avid Fisherman and Hunter and had retired from Clinton Asphalt Paving
He is survived by one sister, Ruth Brown of Piketon, one brother-in-law, Elzie Howland of Dayton, one sister-in-law, Gladys Flanagan of Corinth Mississippi, one niece, Marcella Grooms of Hillsboro. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home with John Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 AM till time of service at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Charity of Choice.
