Phyllis J. Frazer, 79 years of the Belfast Community, died Saturday, September 13, 2014 at her residence.
She was born June 15, 1935 in Highland County, OH., the daughter of the late Russell Lee and Blanche Pence Leininger. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William H. "Bill" Frazer on October 14, 2001; two sisters, June Zugg and Isabelle Ludwick.
Phyllis was a graduate of Belfast High School, member of the Belfast United Methodist Church, served on the Board of the Highland District Hospital for several years, member of Farm Bureau and was a 4H Advisor for several years. Phyllis retired from the Highland County J&FS after many years of service.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Steven H. Frazer of Belfast, Bruce L. and Susie Frazer of Belfast; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan E. and Ronald A. Eyre of Belfast; 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, William R. and Shirley Leininger of SC, sister-in-law, Elma Lois Newman of Hillsboro; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Joyce Frazer of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Tom Stoops will officiate with burial to follow in the Coss Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Family requests memorials to the Highland District Hospital Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
