Ralph E. Branscome, 90, of Punta Gorda, Florida, died November 20, 2006 along with his wife, Doris, whom he married on July 14, 1938.
He was born on March 24, 1916 in Peebles, Ohio.
He moved to Punta Gorda in the late 1950?s. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a retired bricklayer and life member 50 years of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union-Local #18 in Ohio. He was a life member of the VFW Post 9094 and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans post in Tampa, Florida.
He is survived by his brother, Hugh Norma Branscome, nephew, Terry Branscome, both of Punta Gorda, Florida, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Caplinger of Peebles.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles. Burial will follow in the Brushcreek Baptist Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
