Ralph C. Upp, 75 years of Reynoldsburg, died Monday, September 3, 2001.
He was born in Hillsboro, Ohio on April 3, 1926 the son of the late Marion C. and Esther Roadcap Upp.
He retired in 1988 from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Parks and Recreation Division after forty-one years of service. He graduated from Hillsboro High School and from Ohio University with a B.A. in Agriculture. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in the Third Armored Division. He was a member of the Southway American Legion Post #144 and the DAV.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna June Upp, who passed away on February 10, 1998, and brother, Frank Upp.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Nanda Upp-Douridas of Reynoldsburg, Marcena Upp of Toledo, Tammie and Jim Hague of Englewood, Wenda and Roger Smith of Delaware, brother and sister-in-law, George and Marjorie Upp of Washington Court House, eleven grandchildren, Nathan, Nadia, and Nyle Douridas, Raquel, Jaclyn, Justin, and Johannah Upp-Portillo, Patrick and Megan Hague, Olivia and Taylor Smith, three nieces and one nephew, Barbara Bowyer of Grove City, Frank Upp, Jr. of Bremen, Ohio, Ellen Dolphin of Washington Court House, Susan Johnson of Washington Court House, great nieces and nephews, Kim and Scott Bowyer, Corbin Dolphin, Christopher Johnson, Matt Upp, and Marcie Upp, special friends, Nichlous Douridas and Herber Portillo, and many cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2001 at 3:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Ambrose Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Friday from 1:00 till 3:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
