Ralph Arthur Vance, 86 years of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Westmoreland Place in Chillicothe.
Ralph was born June 7, 1934 in Hillsboro, OH., a twin son of the late James L. and Eleanor L. (Dick) Vance. Beside his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his twin brother, Richard L. Vance and nephew, Roush Vance.
Ralph was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. Upon graduation, Ralph entered the U.S. Army and served his Country from 1959 until 1961. Returning to Hillsboro from serving his Country, Ralph took a job with the Kroger Company in Hillsboro. Ralph worked 30 years for Kroger. Upon his retirement from Kroger, Ralph went to college and received his Bachelor degree from Chatfield College. Ralph was a very talented organist. He played the organ for Hillsboro First Presbyterian Church and St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Hillsboro for 50 years. Ralph was a member of the Hillsboro Rotary Club.
Upon the death of Ralph's father, he became his mother's and aunt Virginia Dick caregiver which his brother Richard was so appreciative.
Ralph will be sadly missed by his niece, Elizabeth (Steve) Elliott of Atlanta, GA.; great niece and nephews, and a host of friends.
Ralph donated his body to the University of Cincinnati Medical College. Burial will be at a later date in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
