Ralph L. Weingartner, 91 years of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022.
Ralph was born January 14, 1931 at Cincinnati, OH., the son of the late Ralph and Drusilla (Copeland) Weingartner. Beside his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne (Souder) Weingartner on April 27, 2015, and one brother, Jerry Weingartner.
Ralph served his Country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ralph is a life member of the VFW Post # 9094, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shriner's.
Ralph was a printer with the H.S. Crocker Co. most of his career where he met his wife, Laverne, and later, worked outdoors in nurseries and the tree and sod business.
Ralph in high school excelled in basketball, track, and pole vaulting. He was a great outdoorsman, He loved gardening, bird watching, camping, hunting, and fishing.
Ralph is survived by one son, Robbin (Laura) Weingartner of Hillsboro; one daughter, Jennifer (Alan) Stratmann of Hillsboro; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother, Tom (Terri) Weingartner of Cinncinati.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Pastor John Coyle of the Hillsboro Church of God will officiate.
Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. in the Arlington Memorial Gardens at Cincinnati.
