Ramona Darlene Shoemaker, 74 years of Peebles, died Monday, May 3, 2004 at her residence.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 25, 1929 the daughter of the late John and Myrtle Hoop Markins.
She was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Keri Dawn Shoemaker and Amy Darlene Smalley.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Shoemaker, who she married on June 25, 1949, sons and daughters-in-law, Neil and Colleen Shoemaker of Winchester, Owen and Margie Shoemaker of Peebles, Steve Shoemaker of Peebles, daughters and son-in-law, Sandy Smalley of Peebles, Linda and Bruce Christman of Peebles, brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Kay Markins of Peebles, sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Benny Jones of Peebles, twelve grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ with Bill Christman officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacktown Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 1 West McDonald Parkway, Maysville, KY 41056.
