Randy Walters, Sr., 52 years of Manchester, died Friday, October 20, 2006 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on October 17, 1954 the son of the late Guy and Francis Hodge Walters.
He was a thirty year Police Officer for the Village of Seaman, Peebles, and Manchester, and was a Peebles Volunteer Fire Fighter. He was a member of the Piketon International Order of Odd Fellows.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Walters, who passed away on December 8, 1998.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Vanessa Walters of Manchester, Randy and Billie Walters, Jr. of Manchester, brothers, Dwight Walters of Indiana, Tanker Lewis of Fairmont, North Carolina, sisters, Susie Wagner of Manchester, Brenda Parker of Fairmont, North Carolina, grandchildren, Kylie, Kristopher, Aaron, and Alexander, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Monty Balline and JR McDaniel.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Manchester Nazarene Church with John Greenlee officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunshine Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Manchester Nazarene Church.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Manchester Fireman?s Association, 405 E. 5th, Manchester, OH 45144.
