Ray Abbott, Jr., 66 years of Peebles, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at his residence.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on March 23, 1940 the son of the late Earl Ray and Faye Lawwill Abbott, Sr.
He was a member of the Tranquility Community Church, where he was also a Board Member. He was a member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Association.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Angie Shiveley.
He was united in marriage on June 10, 1961 to Pat Carrington Abbott, who survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Penny Abbott of Peebles, daughters and son-in-law, Sheila and Dale Rothwell of Peebles, Carma Sue Abbott of Peebles, brother, John Abbott of Peebles, seven grandchildren, Natasha Neal, Chris Shiveley, Cherish Rothwell, Ashley Abbott, Cody Abbott, Casey Rothwell, Tyler Rothwell, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tranquility Community Church with Raymond Cox and Roger Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Tranquility Community Church.
