Ray Baker, 66 years of Peebles, died Sunday, August 6, 2006 at his residence.
He was born April 3, 1940 at Hyden, Kentucky, the son of the late Jess and Sophia Collins Baker. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lester Baker.
Ray was a lifelong electrician, a US Navy Veteran serving during the Viet-Nam Era, and a member of the Adams County VFW Post # 1029.
On May 7, 1966 he was united in marriage to Sylvia Evans Baker who survives. He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law Travis and Becky Baker of Peebles, two daughters and son-in-law Leigh Anne and Just Robinhawk of Cincinnati, Julie Ann Cavignano of New Hampshire, three brothers, Tony Baker of Texas, Rex Baker of Florida, Berry Baker of Peebles, 8 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
