Raymond C Mootz

Raymond Clifton Mootz, 64 years of the Hollowtown Community, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
Raymond was born October 8, 1958 in Clinton County, the son of the late John Raymond Mootz and Willa Jean (Kelley) Mootz of the Hollowtown Community. Beside his father, Raymond was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernest and Patty (Cress) Rhoads; niece, Rebecca Berwanger and nephew, Lee Berwanger.
Raymond was a member of the New Market Baptist Church and Farm Bureau. Raymond was a 1977 Graduate of Lynchburg High School. While in high school, Raymond was a member of the FFA and continued his passion for Agriculture, farming and logging his lifetime.
Beside his mother, Raymond is survived by his wife, Kathy (Rhoads) Mootz; one brother, Robert (Kelly) Mootz of Lynchburg; three sisters, Rita Mootz of Hillsboro, Sandra (Jerry) Berwanger of Sardinia, Glenna (E.J.) Saffell of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Brent Spears and Dale Mootz will officiate services with burial to follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
