Reid Marshall Wigginton, 88 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Wednesday January 27, 2021.
He was born in Montgomery County, KY on February 10,1932 the son of the late Lee and Eliza (Chandler) Wigginton. Besides his parents, he is also preceded by first wife Mabel (Helton) Wigginton; his five brothers, Roy Kenneth, Roy Clay, Paul Allen, John D, and Marvin Wigginton; and two sisters, Bertha Lee Black and Nannie Pearl Stockdale.
Reid was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church and retired from Churchhill Trucking Co. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to cut down trees, dig stumps, pick up twigs, split firewood and feed the animals.
Reid is survived by his wife, Betty (Davis) Wigginton, son, John (Dawn) Swift of Leesburg, daughter, Kathy (Jeff) Hildebrecht of Lynchburg, three grandchildren, Zachary (Brittany) Swift of Wooster, Ohio, Kelsey (Mason) Peters of Lynchburg, Ohio, and Rachel (Brian) Hamilton of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, six great-grandchildren, Ivy Nichole, Tate Marshall, Evan Ryder, and Aubrey Rose Swift, Esmée Skye and Helena Rose Hamilton, several nieces, nephews, a host of friends, and a special little friend, Sophia.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday February 1, 2021 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Graveside Service will be at 2:30 PM at the Forest Hill Memorial Gardens in Tipp City, Ohio.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of services on Monday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
