Retta J. Wallace, 84 years of the Belfast Community, passed away on Tuesday August 26, 2014 at her residence.
She was born in Adams County, OH on June 21, 1930, the daughter of the late Nathan and Olive (Humphrey) Pendell. Besides her parents she was also preceded by her husband Carl F. "Pete" Wallace, five sisters Melva, Helen, Mary, Sarah and Marge; one brother Mac Humphrey and son-in-law James Beatty.
Retta retired, after 30 years, at Bolte Grocery.
Retta is survived by her two sons Barry (Jill) Pendell of Hillsboro and Richard (Fiancé Lora Davis) Hilderbrandt of Hillsboro, two daughters Sherry Keith of Hillsboro and Robin (Frank) Schoolcraft of Hillsboro, brother J. Warren "Bud" (Reva) Pendell of Wilmington, eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 30, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday August 29, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
