Richard R. Barr, 81 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at the Bethesda North Hospital.
He was born in Adams County, OH on May 30, 1932, the son of the late Ray and Alma Sininger Barr. Besides his parents he was preceded by his wife Mary Lou Barr, son Donald Barr, brothers Elgar, Ronnie and Dean Barr and sister Gladys Shoop.
Richard was a member of the Hillsboro Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses and retired from Irwin-Auger Bit after 45 years.
He is survived by his son John Barr of Hillsboro, special friend, Evelyn Bradley of Hillsboro, three sisters Boots Grabill of Medway, OH, Betty Bracken of Peebles and Nancy Bill Evans of West Union, four grandchildren Latisha, Eric, Nikki and Ryan Barr and six great grandchildren Damien Frye, Austin and Abigail Doll, Caleb, Kaylie and Mia Barr.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday June 3, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Friends may call at 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday June 2, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Donations can be made to the Hillsboro Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 5241 St. Rt. 247 Hillsboro, OH 45133.
