Richard L. "Hammer Man" Williams, 87 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022.
Richard was born in Highland County on August 13, 1934, the son of the late C. Addison and Ruth Mae (Reno) Williams. Besides his parents he is also preceded by his son, Dan K. Williams; brothers, John, Charles, Robert and Eugene Williams and sister, Karol Randle.
On November 10, 1954, Richard was united in marriage to Eleanor (Kelley) Williams. Richard is survived by son, Richard Ray "Rick" (Lynn) Williams of Dallas, NC, daughters, Lisa Gay(Eddie) Gibson of Jacksonville, FL, Robin Renae (Barry) Simms of Lebanon and Amber Nicole (Jason) Ralston of Grove City; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; brothers, Phillip Williams of Washington C.H. and David (Lois) Williams of Lebanon, daughter-in-law, Dianne Williams of Hillsboro, sisters-in-law, Beverly Williams of Blanchester and Shirley Williams of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Richard was a member and trustee of the Hillsboro First Baptist Church; a graduate of the Hillsboro High School Class of 1954; member of the Carpenter's Union. Richard was a construction and carpenter in various forms. Richard retired after 25 years of service from the Hillsboro City Schools.
A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Hillsboro First Baptist Church, 127 S. West St., Hillsboro, OH. Rev. Clay Self and Rev. Larry Stewart officiating. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 2:00 P.M. until service time.
